2 Quart Fermentation Jar
There are many ways to ferment your delicious vegetables, and my favorite way is to use a water seal fermentation jar. These ceramic fermentation jars have a lip to hold water and a lid that is fitted just right for it. The lid sits in the water and creates the seal, keeping outside air from getting in, as well as flies and gnats. This makes it much less likely for your ferment to grow mold or other types of not-so-welcome friends. This seal will also keep the fermenting smells inside the crock, instead of filling your kitchen or pantry space. You may have to refill the water in the lip every so often.
